When the Gates Chili’s two new electric buses hit the road on the first day of school, students there made history, becoming the first students in upstate New York to ride an electric bus to school! The district was the first in upstate New York to add electric school buses to its fleet earlier this year.

This year, the district is expanding the initiative into social studies with lessons that encourage scholars to put themselves in the places of the people they are studying.

Learning Unlimited Paints Up a Party
Participants from Learning Unlimited, a free program for adults with disabilities, took part in a group painting party lead by Melissa Salatino of Vino and Vernici Mobile Paint Parties. Program Instructors Kimberly Stephenson and Andrew Fowler along with other program staff assisted with this festive canvas painting class and provided mini-charcuterie boards as provided snacks.
