Students throughout the Churchville-Chili school district celebrated national Red Ribbon Week, October 24-28, learning about living a healthy, drug-free life. Organized by the district’s health and physical education departments, the educational activities and fun events crossed all age groups, from kindergarten to the Senior High School.
Each day of the week featured a theme – like “Camo Day, where unhealthy choices can’t find me” – that gave students the chance to dress up, build school spirit and discuss how to make smart life choices. Other themed days included Tie-Dye Day, Sports Jersey Day and Orange & Black Day (which featured the district’s school colors).
The final Friday was designated Wear Red Day, and over 300 students at the high school gathered for a group picture to symbolize the theme of this year’s Red Ribbon Week – Celebrate LIFE. Live Drug Free.
