Stories from our District

About our District

The West Irondequoit Central School District prides itself on offering a comprehensive educational experience that balances high expectations, diverse opportunities, intellectual growth, and personal responsibility. Our community welcomes each child, nurtures each mind and inspires each other to peak performance.

We feature 10 schools that enjoy a statewide reputation for excellence. K-3 students flourish in our six neighborhood schools, where they thrive in a close-knit environment. Our two 4-6 middle schools build upon this strong foundation while nurturing independence. At the 7-8 level, students enjoy an array of elective offerings in addition to team-based core instruction. Irondequoit High features a dynamic student-centered curriculum, including many Advanced Placement and dual enrollment courses, electives that foster creativity and collaboration and a robust career and technical education program to help students develop future paths.
