Special Area Teachers at Lima Primary School have a long history of supporting the work that is being done in the classroom by providing extra support to students throughout the school day.
The Language Enriched Academic Program (LEAP) is a multiage classroom of second through fifth graders. The LEAP classroom at the Manor School makes soup every week for teachers.
Beginning at the start of the 2022-23 school year, the Middle School has implemented Student Leadership Luncheons.
The Peer Helpers is a formal group at the Middle School who assist with promoting a positive, welcoming atmosphere.
In December, the HF-L High School Jazz Ensemble was fortunate enough to be visited by renowned jazz musician, Vanessa Collier. Collier gave an hour and half masterclass on jazz where she improvised for and with multiple students on several jazz standards such as Mr. PC, Watermelon Man, and Blue Bossa.
During the Board of Education meeting that took place on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, HF-L seniors, Rhyan Garey, Brianna Bledsoe, and junior, Braedon Warren were sworn in by Board of Education President, Amy West, as the Student Representatives on HF-L’s Board of Education.
HF-L senior, Alana Khona, was selected as a semifinalist for the 68th annual National merit Scholarship Program.
HF-L staff prepared some fun videos to welcome students and families back to school this year!
