About our District

Opportunity.

If there’s one word that sums up our district that is it.

We strive to give all of our students the chance to make the most of their time in our schools and pursue whatever passions they have. Academically, artistically and athletically, our wide range of offerings make that possible. 

As the most culturally diverse school district in Monroe County we embrace and celebrate our differences at every opportunity.  The interactions and relationships that our students experience on a daily basis provide a meaningful and lasting foundation that will serve them well long after they have moved on in life.

Our district is also proud to be on the cutting edge of introducing technology into the classroom.  All students are provided devices by the district and starting in third grade they are allowed to take them home so that the learning can continue.

A Community Together (ACT) for Education is an unprecedented initiative by public schools in the Monroe 1 and Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES districts, RCSD, area businesses, and community members. With a unified voice, ACT for Education delivers positive messaging about our local school districts and encourages community support of public education.
