Teachers Teach Teachers made a triumphant return to Webster CSD on October 7.
Held during Superintendent’s Conference Day, when students were off from school, Teachers Teach Teachers, or TTT, provides an in-house day of professional development for One Webster educators led by One Webster educators.
This year there were over 70 sessions throughout the morning from more than 80 enthusiastic presenters. The spirit of the day is that of “choose your own professional learning adventure.” In September, an offerings catalog was opened to One Webster educators. They could enroll in two classes from a bevy of offerings that included “Get Pop Cultured: Using Pop Culture to Improve Instruction and Build Relationships in the Classroom”, “Monitoring and Supporting Students in ST Math”, “Webster CSD Aquaponics Greenhouse”, “Sensory v Emotional Regulation”, “Community Building Circles”, “Relationship Building for Inclusivity and Strong Community”, “Bringing Art to Everyone: Muralism in Rochester”, and so much more!
In addition to the many diverse offerings meant to stretch teachers’ thinking was a kick-of presentation by John Burns Baynes. John, an inspirational educator with over 30 years of teaching experience, is a practitioner and champion for public education. He engaged the audience speaking to the district’s themes of Together and Champions of Education.
