Orchestras Combine at Annual District-Wide Strings Concert

Orchestras from French Road Elementary School, Twelve Corners Middle School, and Brighton High School filled up the BHS gym for the annual District-Wide Strings Concert on Feb. 28. 

The orchestras combined to play “The Star-Spangled Banner” and “The Three Knights’ Quest.” The French Road Elementary School Orchestra directed by Mrs. Lori Isham played “Lotus Dance” and “Burst.” The Sixth Grade Orchestra directed by Ms. Jenny Muhl played “Uno, Dos, Bass” and “The Best of Queen.” The Seventh and Eighth Grade Orchestra directed by Ms. Muhl played “Stand By Me” and “Lion City.” The Brighton High School Freshman Orchestra, Orchestra Due, and Orchestra Sei directed by Dr. Rachel Lauber performed “Fantasia on a Theme” and “Capriol Suite for String Orchestra.”

A total of 423 musicians performed in the concert, 122 from BHS, 201 from TCMS, and 100 from FRES.
